How & When did you join 808 Breakers?
Honorary member since 2009 as I started breaking with most of the guys in the 3rd generation of the crew. But officially put down in 2013 with Alex Kid Karma when we battled for 45 min at Kennedy theater. We were given the option to either battle in or swim buttnaked with the sharks off of Point Panics at night and knowing how much they like that white meat I decided probably best to battle in.
How did you get into dancing/breaking?
When I was living in London my friend Kyle took me to UK Bboy championship in 2003 and I was hooked on the culture, but it wasn't until arriving in Hawaii in 2007 that I found like minded people to teach me the ways.
What are some of your hobbies other than dancing?
Music production, DJing, surfing, martial arts, traveling, talking sh*t, and most of all channeling my inner kid.
Do you have any favorite movies, shows, or games?
Spaceballs, anything with Jet Li, Drunken Master 1 & 2, anything Hayao Miyazaki, Ghost In The Shell, Akira, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, anything from Guy Richie.
Favorite music artists?
James Brown, Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, Pharcyde, Biggie Smalls, Bonobo, Fela Kuti.
What do you do now, currently in life?
MC, DJ , Event coordinator, Tour Guide and assistant to an eccentric millionaire.
Would you like to impart any wisdom or any value that you believe in?
Live to love, love to live, don't take things too seriously because it's all impermanent so savour each moment as if it could be your last and build enough memorable experience so you can tell your grandkids a new story every day.
